WHO ARE THE PURLEY PANEL?
The Purley Panel is a voluntary collective community group, representing key stakeholders in Purley.
Made up of passionate local residents and community groups, we represent the areas diverse community. We have representation from Purley BID, Purley Youth Project, Purley and Woodcote residents association, Purley and Coulsdon Centre for the Elderly, Purley Rotary Club, Churches Together and independent local residents.
WHAT DO WE DO?
Initially brought together, to help understand local issues and opportunities and to collaborate on a Framework for Purley, on behalf of Croydon Council. Since the release of the Framework and the bankruptcy of the Council this group has continued in their own right to champion and deliver local initiatives for Purley.

2020
The very first Purley Panel Meeting was the opportunity for panel members to meet each other (virtually) and was chaired by Local Councillor Simon Hoar.

2021
Panel continue as a community group and Facebook page created to share latest news with the community and also reach out and engage with the community.

2022
Released our findings from our community engagements and submitted an application for the next round of High Streets For All Challenge funding-and were delighted to find out in July that we had won £149K for Purley! Next we got busy looking into how this should be spent and putting plans together to make it happen.

Community Art and design workshops to involve residents on what art and designs they wanted for Purley and carrying out these works.
